John 4:4-6

Jesus never wasted a moment. He made moments count.

Even when he was in arguably the worse pain a man could suffer he took a moment of anguish, and agony on the cross to ensure his mother was looked after when he was gone. (John 19:26-27)

In the referenced text (John 4) Jesus creates another moment that matters. He maximizes the moment he has at a well where water was usually drawn in the morning and evening because of the heat of the day. He meets a women there and intentionally defies socialistic and prejudiced norms with Samaritans by engaging in conversation. As the conversation ensues it is readily perceived by the women that Jesus is not just anyone passing by, but he is the "Living Water" by which she can be cleansed and made whole.

The women was looking for water from Jacob's Well, but Jesus gave her eternal water from the well that will never run dry because he understood the moment and seized an opportunity to make the moment matter.

You can create moments that matter by simply taking advantage of the opportunities that you are given every day.
