Seize the Opportunity

I am sure that sounds familiar. You can read it in a book, here it on television, here it in many motivational talks/ self-help applications. Sure, it’s an applicable concept but many people can’t seize what they don’t realize is there, which results in missed opportunity.

Did you know that there are millions of people that don’t know that Jesus died for their sins? It’s true. In fact, you may be reading this now and this could be the first time you were ever made aware that Jesus Christ laid his life down so that your soul would not be lost.

Well, this season we commemorate this great sacrifice that ushered in an “OPPORTUNITY” for the redemption of our souls. Now you know.

As a result of sin, we are separated from God and all humanity is lost.It is because of God’s great compassion and love for us that redemption is provided through His son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus paid a price that we owed, and died a death that we deserved so we can “SEIZE” this opportunity - one that you don’t want to miss. It doesn’t promise riches or fame. You will not be popular. But it does promise to change your life, and live a life with purpose and eternal.

Opportunity comes by someone else paving the way and often born from a place of travail we can’t see, and pain we can’t feel.

The opportunity we seize is made available because of sacrifice, but is free to all who believe. This opportunity doesn’t require you to be prepared or be in position you only need to answer.

Hebrews 3:15

"Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts

Romans 10:9-10(NIV)

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Jesus died a physical death to offer you an opportunity at life not just on this earth but for an eternity.
